Happy Thursday Neighbors!
I hope your week is shaping up well. I’ve been so inspired by this Fashion month street style as well as the SS20 runway shows, it’s really been quite outstanding! So many great things to appreciate! Outside of those things, I am mostly excited to go full throttle into a more relaxed understated-style; very similar to today’s outfit. It feels more grown-up and sophisticated.

The other day, I was getting my nails done at the nail salon and between the buffing and painting, I hadn’t realized that someone took the seat next to me. When I finally looked up, I saw a very refined looking woman, possibly in her 40’s; her hair was parted in the middle and pulled back into a low bun. She wore a loosely fitted blazer with trousers and carried an oversized travel bag from Barneys. Her nails were bare but well manicured and she ended up choosing a very light, almost nude pink color! I knew the color well, as I’d been wearing it before switching to white later in the summer. It’s a great color that helps chipped nails to go un-noticed. I snuck a few peeks at this black, professional woman and kept thinking to myself, this is how I want to dress. Understated, refined, non-fussy and I knew the only way I could do that was to remove some of the bright, vibrant colors from my wardrobe! Luckily, I have already committed to doing that and i’m well on my way!  On that note, LET’s get into today’s look:

3 Things to Note about today’s post!

    • Be intentional about the fit that you want for your clothing and organize/tailor them to reflect that fit.
    • Don’t be afraid of going understated. Oddly, it this way of dressing has a way of getting you noticed even more.
    • Dress in a way that makes you happen, comfortable and smiling all day long! Good Vibes Only!
