Happy Thursday!
Firstly, thank you so much for the love on my last post. I am really excited that my new project is being so well-received. For every word of encouragement that was offered, I am truly grateful. As we lean in to the festive season of the calendar year, the first celebration that kicks off the festivities is Halloween. I’m going to be honest with you, I have not celebrated Halloween in over 10 years. I vaguely remember my friends (said friends shall remain nameless in this post) dragging me out to a Halloween party at some club in the city, where we waited on a line for at least 15-30 minutes in the freezing cold, wearing the skimpiest little outfits. At that very moment, I swore off Halloween for good. A decade later, and one child richer; I am starting to dip my toes back into the water. As such, I thought I would share some Halloween outfit inspiration; well actually this is an outfit that I wore in real life, but it feels like it could double as a costume for a female cast member from the movie, “Murder on the Orient Express”. Have any of you guys seen the recently released remake of the film? The costumes are divine and right up my ally with high octane glamour. This is my version of a more budget friendly option. A small suitcase would have really nailed the look. Costume-y or not, I really love this dress. I like the ladylike quality that it exudes and the pop of sequins is perfect to go from a day meeting to a work party/event. As for the hat, well I’ll still be wearing this one so long as it makes sense for the outfit. I love mixing the gold in the hat with the silver sequins. Last but not least is my beautiful stole that I love for bringing the glamour to this look. Could you envision yourself doing an old Hollywood glamour look for halloween or is it just too much? Have an inspiring day.
