I’m curious, does your job allow you to wear jeans to work? If yes, how often can you wear them during the week? How casual can you be at work? Is it 100% corporate vibes?
I realize that I post a lot of outfits that are a. perfectly fine for me to wear to work as presented or with a few minor tweaks, b. great for a night out, dinner with friends, or any other social gathering! Maybe not every outfit, but they usually fit the theme for one of the above.
I sometimes get asked to find more corporate options or at least clever ways of styling some of these NSFW pieces. Are work outfits for a corporate environment something that you would all like to see more of? I remember briefly working at a law firm when I was in my very early 20’s, the money was great at that age; but the environment was so stuffy. I remember being happy with the fact that I got to dress like a grown-up…a real professional. It was a dream come true for me, but after a few months, I started to feel like this wasn’t the right place for me. Many things contributed to that fact, but one of them was in fact the dress code. Because, let’s face it… some days we roll out of bed and do not have the energy to pull ourselves together the way we would like to. - Super affordable basics! I cannot have a wardrobe that is full of OMG show-stopping pieces because every place/thing that I attend does not call for such an entrance.
- I will probably never wear a thing from Fashionova, that’s not to say that you shouldn’t. It’s just that my FashionNova is Forever21. I know their fabrics and can usually guess which pieces are more quality than the rest. P.s. this is a two piece that I am wearing.
- White knee-high boots, actually white boots in general are a great NEUTRAL! They are the perfect backdrop which allow your pieces to stand out! I truly adore them.
