Happy Hump Day!

It’s becoming painfully clear that I am getting older. I can no longer rebound from late nights like I used to! I prefer to be in bed by 10pm but the Warriors and Rockets game did not start until 10:30pm. I was very pleased with the outcome but today I am paying for it! With that said, let’s get straight into this look, shall we?

If you follow me on Instagram, I already gave you a preview into this look! Slip dresses as we know, are HUGE this season and rightfully so, I mean they are classic, comfy and perfect for the warm weather. They are designed to be less restrictive, but the question is are all slip dresses made equal? I bought this one from Zara. When it comes to color, this is perfectly suited for my tastes, when it comes to fit, I give it a 6 out of 10. I feel like this dress is made for someone with more, shall we say well endowed boobies? I really hate the cowl neck and wish it were more tailored. In fact, that’s precisely what I will be doing this week, dropping it off to my tailor so that it can be cut to suit the upper half of my body. Other than the neckline, the overall fit is good, and it is very soft. I love the looseness because it helps with layering as seen here!

Would I recommend buying this dress? The answer is Yes, with a few caveats. If you aren’t busty you will probably need to get it tailored for a better fit. For the price-point, fabric and the vibrance in color, I don’t think that you can go wrong.

Let me know what you think!

Until tomorrow!

  1. I love the slip dress trend. It’s so fun and chic. Zara definitely has some amazing silky slip dresses and skirts. Dannijo came out with tie dye silk slip dress and I’m dying over it, so amazing but so pricey compared to fast fashion prices. I’m still deciding if I want to invest in this possibly quicky trend.

Anyways your slip dress is fabulous, that pink hue is amazing!

  2. Hmmm, I have to check out the Dannijo dress as I do love tie dye and I think that too will be a trend this summer. I liked the idea of testing the Zara ones first and then deciding if I want to invest in the more expensive ones.
