Happy Tuesday!

I want to start by Thanking God for allowing me to open my eyes and behold the beauty of the morning sun. I’m pumped to start my week, eager to learn something new about myself and the world; all while checking off every item on my to-do-list, lol. Today, I want to talk about discipline. The other day, I posted a quote that read “consistency is harder when no one is clapping for you”; and man isn’t that the truth. I commend anyone who is self-motivated; but not for the 5 days in a row and then I am going to take a break type of motivation, I’m talking the 24/7 especially on holidays type of consistency. My husband is such a person, selfishly; it pisses me off yet it inspires me to no end. I am working on being better at discipline. It is the one trait that I would love to master and yet it is the hardest to conquer. I think about times in my life when I have quit something just as I was on the precipice of something even greater but I couldn’t see it because all I thought about was how “whatever I was doing wasn’t working and that I should just give up”. Being disciplined doesn’t mean that I won’t have those thoughts any longer it just means that I won’t allow them to change my course.

Today, I’m wearing a beautiful pair of jeans by a brand called Who What Wear, the collection is currently sold at Target. I remember about 5 -10 years ago when a small community of people started tinkering with this thing called blogging. Instagram had become the social thing to do where one could share details about their blog. I started following a little account called Who What Wear, they talked all things fashion and decor. Fast forward to today, the brand has grown in multiple countries and currently designs an affordable women’s-wear brand that is consistently sold out at all Target stores. I look at instances like these and I think what dream isn’t possible? It doesn’t matter the arena; if fact I can probably research and find a similar success story in every arena. The one thing that ties them all together is consistency and discipline. This ability to be your own cheerleader and to root for yourself even as you look to your left and your right and see that no one else is cheering you on. You don’t need a choir for people to know that you can sing; you only need to believe and let you voice show what you’re capable of. This is such a week to blow your own socks off; prove to yourself that you can and will achieve that goal that you’re working towards. Step out on faith and step into your destiny; the only thing stopping you is you. Peace and love to you all this week.
