MY MET GALA MOMENT

Happy Thursday!

Man, it’s been quite the week. I won’t allow this feeling of exhaustion to dampen my spirits especially when debuting a dress such as this! I remember the feeling I had when I first wore this dress for our Family shoot in Mexico (which I still have to upload by the way), I felt like a princess. The beautiful detail and lively colors and of course the volume (GASP!!). Everyone should have a princess dress like this that they whip out to wear for no other reason than to feel like the princess they are. I remember watching one of my favorite episodes of Sex and the City where Carrie was dating the Russian and he took her to the MET. She wore this beautiful Oscar De La Renta dress and they got all dressed up and she looked so elegant climbing the stairs to the entrance, they left shortly after and went to McDonald’s where she ordered fries in her multiple-thousand dollar dress. I LOVED THAT! Simply because it reminded me that there is nothing, no article of clothing, no fine piece of jewelry that is too precious to be worn on any given day at any given moment. Each day is a present and you should unwrap your gift wearing whatever your heart desires. Don’t put away anything for a special occasion, each day is the special occasion; if you take anything away from this post; let it be that.
