“Financial Freedom My Only Hope, Screw Living Rich and Dying Broke”

Saw this beautiful street art of Jay-Z and had to stop to take a photo. The lyrics on the wall come from his new album 4:44. You might have noticed that Jay-Z was nominated for quite a few awards at the Grammy’s on Sunday but he walked away with a donut! I hear people saying things like “I guess when you talk about the truth and talk about your people you don’t get rewarded”. There seems to be a taste of bitterness at the fact that Jay did not win at least one award. I have a different take on this. While I did enjoy the album, I also enjoyed the Bruno Mars album (perhaps a bit more that I did Jay’s) and I also liked Kendrick’s massive singles. Those two appeared to be his biggest competitors of the evening. Could that be the reasons why Jay lost out at the Grammy’s? Also, could it be the fact that Jay’s “honesty” about his flaws, his marriage to Beyonce, etc. came a bit too little too late? Maybe people weren’t as taken with his outpouring on this record as they were with others. ALSO, I mean he cheated on Beyonce so could this be the collective punishment for such a grievance against the world’s most famed singer? Who knows! The point of this story is, I saw this image, I loved the art work and I took a photo next to it, lol. Most importantly, I am so happy I got to wear these Gucci heels, they are my favorite at the moment. Anytime the weather goes above 50 degrees, I’m like Yes, Gold heels out! Terrible, I agree.
