Hi-Yo,

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I apologize for the lack of posts this week, the devil really tried his hand at getting in the way of my giving Thanks! As I had been doing all week, I uploaded this post on Wednesday sharing yet another thing I was thankful for. Then to my surprise, I didn’t see the post populate on the blog, so I tried to fix the issue but I couldn’t access the blog at all. My server had crashed, the worst words that any blogger can hear. It took two – three days for the issue to get fixed and finally I am able to get back in and update my posts. Since the devil tried to stop me from giving Thanks, I know I must have been doing something right. So I will press on and backtrack for the days passed.

I believe I left off on Wednesday, and since I am no quitter, I will share the things that I gave thanks for each day.

On Wednesday, I chose my health. Too often we take the blessing of being able to get out of bed and go about our daily lives for granted, health is the ultimate gift and there are so many who are robbed of it. The fact that we can see, hear, and speak to our loved ones is a true gift and we should cherish it, always.

Thursday – I gave thanks for my husband. It’s a rare thing to find someone you can walk through life with and share a piece of yourself. Gosh, I dare not think of what life would be like without him. Even if everything is gone, if it’s just the two of us left, that’s plenty.

Friday – I gave thanks for my freedom of choice. When we watch the news each day and hear about the monstrosities that take place, it is easy for us to get caught up in how terrible a place the world can be. Though this sentiment may be true, I find that it is best to focus on the love and light in the world as oppose to the negativity. This decision is made based on my freedom of choice, I choose to do the things that will shine a light as opposed to that which will bolster even more negativity. No matter how bad things get, I always think about the fact that I can still choose for myself, I am not dictated to and my decisions are the ones which will shape my life. This is a powerful thing, which many fought to be able to achieve, so lets not take it for granted. Think of its magnitude and don’t cast it off as a trivial thing, because without it where would we be?

Saturday – I simply give thanks for nature, beholding God’s beauty everyday! Whenever I go to the park or see a beautiful sunset, it could be a thing as simple as watching a child fly a kite I am filled with such warmth and gratitude. For example, I love to travel and the fact that when I fly I am propelled some 30,000 feet in the air and I can see the clouds and take in the magnificence of our world, what else could that be but a gift from God! It’s really the simple things that are the most beautiful and so rich. We’re all so lucky that they are free and sometimes we don’t even recognize it. Slow down, take life in and enjoy the ride, the journey is the sweetest part my friends; not the finish line.

Sunday – Today, I am so thankful to be able to seek knowledge and increase my capacity to learn and understand more about our world. I love to read, a perfect day to me is one on my deck with the sun beaming through the glass windows and me reading a good book with a cup of peppermint tea. I take such pleasure in that simple activity. Just think about this for a moment, with the onset of technology, every piece of information we seek (with the exception of few things) are at our fingertips. That is so incredible. I mean the fact that understanding of a world so vast and different is right there for the taking. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. A curious mind is a dangerous thing especially when matched with resources. Enough of the Pop-Culture and seeking information about things that are no real benefit to us. Let’s actually take stock in our world and become hungry for our own information and not that which is force-feed.

Alright, I just had to get that out there so the devil knows that he is still losing. As for the outfit, well I had a really big meeting this week and I wore this two-piece outfit which received a great deal of compliments. Many felt that the colors were perfect for the upcoming holiday, and I couldn’t agree more. I pulled out this stole which was perfect for the warmer weather. Orange lip and matching pumps provided the finishing touches.

Sorry for the lengthy post today. I hope you all get something out of it and as always enjoy the  pics!
