It’s with great pleasure that I introduce you to my new favorite Brooklyn hangout THE CRISIS BAR.

Just in time for the BasketBall Playoffs, The Crisis Bar (913 Broadway, Brooklyn) will host its Public Grand Opening this Saturday on April 28th at 5:00pm.

The popular street of Broadway (located in the culture filled Bedstuy/Bushwick area of Brooklyn) finally gets a good-looking Sports Bar & Grill. Rejecting the expectation of sticky floors, cheap pitchers of beer, and the standard, uninspired Bar fare.

This Sports Bar & Grill boasts two beautiful chandelier’s in the front and back of the establishment immediately separating itself from neighborhood bars nearby. The pendant lights perfectly placed throughout the dining area provide a signature, elevated style. Without being cliche, sports references are subtly littered throughout the bar and they also manage to infuse references to the interesting Bar name . The best thing is that although the place is pretty, the vibe is anything but pretentious. So yes, you’ll still find your beloved finger foods ranging from hot wings to guac and chips – prepared with freshly fried Tortilla chips and freshly made Guacamole, of course! Patrons can be seen or rather heard in their attempts to meticulously place each block on the Jumbo JENGA board willing it not to fall during their turn. After all, everyone wants the coveted title of JENGA MASTER!

Not to be outdone by the decor, the menu boasts a myriad of items designed to wet all appetites. Hands down the best Ny strip steak and mash that i’ve ever had. Oh, the salmon with orzo dish and the Crisis burger are both out of this world. Above and across from the 16 seat bar you’ll find 8 “60” inch TV screens covering multiple sporting events at a time. For those unlike me who are less interested in the games, there will be Weekly Karaoke nights, a monthly Ladies Night that I am proud to host.

Lastly, I bet you’re were wondering about the name, huh!? Well; as I understand, it’s meant to denote that regardless of the crises that a person is experiencing, The Crisis Bar is the place to go to Make.Life.Better. Whether it’s with a cocktail or a smile, they’ve got you covered. Pretty cute right?

With a beautiful ambience, seriously delicious food, and a great vibe TCB is sure to become a favorite amongst many. I’ve been an advisor on the board of this Sports Bar project for a little while now so I am ecstatic to see it finally come to fruition. If you’re looking for me this Spring/Summer/Fall this is where you’ll find me. In the meantime, head over to the site to check out more and also sign-up for a table on opening night. Looking forward to seeing those who can make it on Saturday! Check out some of the photos below:
