Happy Hump-Day Friends!

Raise your hands if you’re a woman who shops in the men’s department! Oh girl, ME TOO, lol!
I have been shopping the men’s section for a long time because I have always been drawn to oversized pieces! Sometimes, the mens department does a better job at offering great pieces at a lower cost, and they usually have a wide selection since the demand is much lower. My favorite part is that it takes a bit fo imagination, and that is one of the main ingredients of great style. To sum it up, when we venture over to the men’s department we get more options, better pricing, and a way to be more creative ! Sounds like a win/win for us all, although, the men may begin to resent us for it 🙂

A couple of months ago, I was looking for a white blazer to pair with one of my outfits, and while I have 3 beautiful white blazers I was looking for something different. Something more oversized! I happened to peek over at my husband’s closet, saw his blazer, wore it, loved it so much that I told him he should get a few more so that we can share them… This burgundy blazer is one of them! I cannot express how much I love both the color and the fit! It’s incredible and perfectly on trend! The oversized pants are also the most comfortable pants I own! I was hoping to get them in black but they sold out quickly! For this look, I decided to go sans shirt but I intend to pair it with both a body suit and collared shirt… there are endless ways to try it!

If you did not raise your hands for my opening question, have I now convinced you to at least take a peek at the men’s section? Drop me a line and let me know. Also, the pants are sold out at Zara but I am including a few different options! The Blazer is still available but I have also added some cheaper substitutes. As always:

3 Things to Note about today’s post!

  • Volume is in! Think Missy Elliott 90’s black bubble suit BIG… Maybe not that big, but you get the picture :).
  • I have said this before but there is much truth in picking a wardrobe where you can simply rotate your pieces! It is okay to rewear key pieces over and over again. See here.
  • Spend the most money on your basics! The things that you can swap out time and time again to make an old outfit feel new and new pieces feel familiar.
