I’ve been thinking about my style lately, and how I want to continue to evolve. At heart I am a classic girl with a slight edge. I love things that are clean and strong, yet delicate. There is much to be found and admired in something that is also very edgy and non-conventional. I know that there are people who take the non-conventional forms of dressing to the next level, and though I love celebrating that type of individuality, I am not one of those people. However, I do like to play on the perimeter of that style of dressing and make it a bit of my own. This look is such a look for me.
I live for a clean pair of trousers that I can dress up or down, and these black leather ones fit the bill. This asymmetrical, color-blocked top complete with arm slits make me want to do cartwheels. It’s a really clever way to bring life and interest to an otherwise plain top. I feel like this look screams Street-Style and helps me to showcase a mix of things that I love all in one look. I hope everyone likes it as much as I do… at the very least that it makes you challenge yourself to mix your wardrobe up a bit. Expect to see lots more of these pants and top as separates on the blog!
