SHE’S.BACK!

The process of editing photos is a lot of work, and it takes focus especially when you are combing through hundreds of photos. This is why these photos are so late in coming to you. To be clear, Allegra’s birthday is June 9th, so these were taken several months ago. Contrary to what my dear friends may say, I promise I don’t try to hold things back, I simply prioritize based on what is going on in life at the moment. I also don’t like to present things half-assed so if I am unable to put my all into something, I usually shelf it until I can. I finally caught up with this task and was able to cross if off of my to-do-list. YAY

Allegra had two cakes for her birthday, this was her 2nd one, it was purchased specifically for her to smash, lol. She really enjoyed the sugar rush from eating bits of this cake; however, she is not a child that likes to be messy so she was over the stickiness shortly thereafter. I am so happy that I get to capture these photos of her. I am aware that they are more for my viewing pleasure than they are for her; but the hope is that one day she will look back and be grateful for these photos that her mom took such care to capture. I wish my mom had done a better job of snapping photos of me when I was a kid. My sisters did a good job of keeping photos of me when I was younger so I often go to them when I need something. What about you guys, do you invest in photos of your kids or do you capture some here and there depending on when you have time? It can be a huge investment of time and money but I think it’s worth it.

Looking forward to doing more of these in the future. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving guys!

P.s.- It’s funny to look at Allegra’s face in these photos, she goes from wonderment, to excitement, to “okay mom, I’ll stop eating it”, to “smizing” for the camera. The faces that kids make are truly priceless.
