Hi-Yo,
One of the best things that can happen during the weekend is waking up early and getting all of your chores done by say, 9a.m. This is an absolute accomplishment in my house and one that rarely occurs. Mostly because I love sleeping so getting up around 5 or 6 on the weekend is considered a sin. My hubby on the other hand is always up this early and I have no idea why… other that to say… well, he’s a crazy person. Nonetheless, this weekend I apparently got enough sleep to wake up early enough and get stuff done along with him. I must concede, it is a great feeling to have the rest of the day to do whatever you wish instead of rushing to get the things you NEED to get done.
As such we both decided to explore the city on foot for a bit. Sometimes it’s nice to just get out of the house and wander, slightly aimlessly. I realize that you end up noticing so much more when you do this. As we were walking, we stumbled upon the Unicef building. There was a mini resting place which held a beautiful statue that “captured the spirit of Audrey Hepburn” by John Kennedy! It was dedicated in her memory for her work as a Unicef Ambassador. I loved the image, it was so striking and quite moving since I had some context of the work that Ms.Hepburn had done as an ambassador.
I snapped some photos close by which included the statue to serve as a memory. We kept walking simply appreciating the beautiful day that mother nature had provided. I look forward to doing this more often and really taking stock that there are so many things to behold. Life is such an amazing gift to be treasured and never taken for granted.
As for the outfit, well I have been wearing this sweater in heavy rotation. It is so comfortable and chic. I kept the look mostly grey with the exception of these awesome boots that I scored sometime last year.
