Hello Tuesday!

I woke up to a rainstorm and it was such a nice way for God to say Good Morning. I love it when it rains, there is something so calming about it. Of course, I still have to work my way through all this rain to get to work but I don’t mind at all. Ah, but we aren’t here to talk about the weather. We’re here to talk about clothing, beautiful clothes. I bought this dress at least 2 years ago and wore it twice since then. I still believe that it’s a great color and such an interesting design. This bandage style originated from Max Azria for his Herve Leger collection, and through the popularity of his collections other stores began to create similar pieces. Being an owner of several Herve Leger creations, I know what the price points are and if I didn’t want to invest in my future and have really nice things outside of my wardrobe, I would probably purchase all of these style of dresses from his collection; but alas I do want other nice things, like my home and my bank account.  So I dibble and dabble in the High end and the High street markets. There is nothing wrong with that and absolutely no shame in it.  Curating your wardrobe should be based on your style, and the fit of each piece that you decided to bring into your closet. It should NEVER depend on the name etched into the back of the clothing. Now, I say this fully knowing that many designers are better than others so I buy based on quality and sometimes you MUST pay a higher price to get such quality, and that’s okay. All I’m saying is don’t become a slave to the name, become a cultivator of style whatever that means for you!

Okay enough rambling here, I hope you have a lovely day and enjoy the pics!
