Happy Hump Day! Here’s a quick post of one of the looks that I wore to Essence Festival and then repurposed on the second leg of my trip. For someone like me who is the ultimate over-packer, I am pleased to share that for my last few domestic and international trips I have just been doing Carry-on, and what a great accomplishment that is. Now I simply have to work on getting to the airport on time and not-nearly missing my flight (I am a work in progress).

I digress, and move back to the outfit at hand. Can you believe that I bough each piece from Forever21. I really love that store for quick finds that are good quality. I first saw the shorts and liked the color and the fit so I decided to purchase. Then I came across the top which was originally a dress, and it matched so perfectly that I decided to buy it and then have it tailored. F21, is sometimes hit or miss but recently I’ve been finding more hits than misses which has me overjoyed.
