Hi-Yo,
I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Yes, I’m aware that I’ve missed two weeks of updates on the blog and I’m dreadfully sorry, I won’t make any excuses about it other than to say I need an Intern! Nonetheless, I am back with updates after a wonderful birthday week of fun, and peaceful relaxation. I designed a great trip for a very special B’day. First my hubby and I took off to NOLA to enjoy the Essence Music festival. This was my first time being at the festival and it was the ultimate treat, but believe me when I say it was incredibly exhausting. Literally one party and event after another, and people seem to just go crazy in NOLA. I went to each night of the shows, so look out for a review coming up on the blog soon about all of the different acts!
Another great thing about NOLA was the food, my goodness the decadence is just sinful. That Kendrick Lamar song that goes “(I am a sinner who’s probably gonna sin again, Lord forgive me)”, absolutely applies to my behavior. Although I knew that indulging would get me into trouble, I simply couldn’t resist, (to be fair, I went to the gym almost everyday that I was there, so…). NOLA is especially known for their delicious seafood and seasonings, and they did not let me down, I was very pleased with my crab claws and Lobster dishes.
The biggest treat of all was getting to see and meet some of you beautiful people who read my blog and saying Hello. That was really very nice. The look below is what I wore for my birthday dinner. I saw this dress in the BCBG store, and after having tried on a few different styles of Herve Leger dresses I settled on this one. By the look on my husbands face, I think I chose the right one. Most importantly, I loved it so the splurge was a win/win. As per usual minimal accessories and a tan adorned my look.
