THE GOLDEN CHILD

Happy Hump day!

Remember that movie with Eddie Murphy, called The Golden Child? I loved that movie, and I used to think the main actress was so gorgeous. It seems like ages ago since I’ve last seen it. Culottes! If you’ve walked by a Zara window in the past few weeks you should be able to identify where I got this outfit from. I told you that I was thinking of trying this trend. I normally don’t ever wear pieces as they are showcased on a mannequin but I kept things relatively easy with a simple matching crop top. Stores like Zara make it affordable for fashion lovers like myself to try new trends. I love the color and the structure of this set. It is vibrant and the fit is perfect. After having doubts about Culottes, I have to be honest I found them very easy to wear. They were comfortable and the looseness of the pants is even better than my normal tailored trousers.

I have every intention of working the last bit of my tan with colors like this burnt orange which does wonders in making it more pronounced. I thought of renting a City bike, but unfortunately, I am not one of those chic parisian girls who can bike around in heels. I would need flats, a bottle of water and riding pants to prevent me from getting run over by NYC cab drivers. The weather provided enough warmth for me to break out my Alaia sandals. They continue to remain a favorite in my shoe closet.
