Happy Friday!

Last weekend I walked around my neighborhood for a bit and happened upon some beautiful murals/artwork. In fact at almost every corner there was something to stop and gaze at. Then it dawned on me that there are so many wonderfully talented underground artists that the world will never get to see. What a shame that would be, so I decided to do my small part by beginning to take photos of the compelling artwork I witness and share it on my blog. Of course I hadn’t intended on taking photos on this walk so I didn’t bring my DSLR camera but I managed to snap a few pics on my phone of this one image that I saw in the park. Something about it was very interesting to me. Perhaps it was the distinct unhappiness that I interpreted, or was it anger, indifference, I wondered? Either way there was enough emotion in each person’s face that I stopped to take a closer look at what the artist was truly trying to convey. My husband and I reached entirely different conclusions with some similarities. Other than the fact that this is a very DOPE photo, what do you think the artist is saying with this painting?

As for the wardrobe, well I repurposed this jumpsuit that I wore in the Spring and styled it with more Fall like accessories. See the original styling here.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the painting (simply click on the image to increase the size).
