One of my favorite fashion magazines is InStyle! As I was reading last month’s issue I came across a photo of this sequined Michael Kors pants and it dawned on me that I had just purchased a similar pair. After looking at the styling and the different options presented. I decided to task myself with styling said pants in 3 different ways. I often get questions from readers on how to style specific items and I use Polyvore to mock up looks. I thought this was a great opportunity to do a feature using myself to present the looks to you.

Pants: Michael Kors (you can find them here in black)
Top: Forever 21
Blazer: Zara (this forever21 option is a good alternative)
Shoes: Loubs
Bag: Ivanka Trump

Sequined pants! Really who wears sequined pants, especially during the day time? That would be me, guilty as charged. I’d imagine many would find these pants a little quirky and difficult to style but that’s exactly why I love them. Finding oddball things and challenging myself to find a way to make it work. I kept this look very structured because the pants have a bit of a relaxed feel with the harem/slouchy fit at the midsection. I also kept the sequins theme going by pairing the look with my black sequined Louboutins. I then added my handbag to complement the structure of the blazer and add a bit more polish to the look. A red lip was the icing on the cake, I am totally loving bright red lips at the moment. So what do you guys think? I am interested in hearing your thoughts on this look and the two which will follow.

Until next time!

  1. very cute look!

  2. Love it! I like how you paired the sequin theme with a very modest top and blazer combo. The look is more flexible that way and the pants aren’t too flashy when styled that way.
